The joint venture is aimed at extending the network of points of sale where these Organization’s specific games will be available, thus extending the geographical reach and opening hours for selling these products.

It is a complementing network of points of sale to improve ONCE’s and its Foundation’s ability to reinforce the social coverage given to more than 4 million disabled people living in Spain.

The Organization has awarded this task to the company, owned by Logista and GTECH each with a 50 per cent stake, which will offer this service until the end of 2020. The joint venture will place the aforementioned products in tobacconists, newsstands, service stations, convenience stores and other outlets.

Logista obtains the European Customs Authorized Economic Operator Certificate

It achieves the Customs Simplification, Security and Safety certificate, the most comprehensive existing nowadays.

Logista, the number one integrated logistics operator in Spain and Portugal, and one of the foremost companies in Southern Europe, has been granted the Authorised Economic Operator certificate for Customs Simplification, Security and Safety.

This reinforces Logista’s image as a reliable economic operator for customs operations, for other members in the supply chain throughout the European Union and, by the mutual recognition mechanism, across much of the world.

Logista is the first integrated logistics operator obtaining the certificate in Spain, which until now had only been awarded to manufacturers and to some companies’ forwarding activities.

This certificate represents an array of operational benefits for Logista, its customers and the customs administration. According to this, Logista will have more flexible customs procedures, optimizing flows and transit times in international transactions undertaken for clients.

With this certification Logista starts enjoying priority in controls, higher easiness for simplified customs procedures, summary entry or exit declarations with reduced data or previous notification of physical recognitions decisions, easier access to customs, international recognition in trade and fewer physical and documentary controls.

This certificate is the most comprehensive of the three existing. In Spain, it is granted by the Departamento de Aduanas e Impuestos Especiales de la Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria (Department of Customs and Excise at the State Agency for Tax Administration) after auditing that the company has a satisfactory record in compliance with customs requirements, a proper system of trade risk management and transport records allowing a proper customs control, as well as proven financial soundness and adequate security levels.

Furthermore, it is necessary a proper administration management and solvency to ensure a satisfactory tax compliance.

This certificate, together with the expected shortly for Logesta, Grupo Logista’s specialized company for long distance and full truck load transportation management, will enable Grupo Logista to complete the customs facilities and guarantees in the broad range of integrated logistics services Grupo Logista offers to its multinational clients at international scale.

The Authorised Economic Operator figure has been developed by the European Commission as one of the mechanisms, perhaps the most important, through which customs will develop their significant role for a safe international supply chain for legitimate trade benefitting consumer protection, the environment or the fight against organized crime.
